Torchwood

              In short what happens is Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper are the main characters and they have to kill/defeat the aliens that are forever attacking our planet without us really noticing ( I know, it doesn't sound too great, but it's easy watching...). The first series was good, but then the BBC decided to stop airing it and so they ended Torchwood with a big explosion and they all died (well we thought they did). But then the BBC decided to make another series of Torchwood after the explosion. So the new series starts off with Gwen in a secret house in wales somewhere with her husband and baby, and Jack is in America trying to hide the fact that Torchwood existed. ( you keeping up..?). Anyway. The CIA find out about Torchwood because they all get an email about them ( but torchwood is meant to stay hidden). Meanwhile the human race stops dying and so all these people with gross injuries don't die (even when you cut their heads off). A CIA ( agent A) agent secretly goes to Wales to get Gwen and Jack ( who is now in Wales), and he arrests them and puts them in a plane and takes them to America to try to find out whats happening to the humans.

Another CIA agent ( agent B) -who is working against  Agent A- tries to poison Jack ( who was immortal, but when the human race became immortal he became mortal ) on the plane.
